Tennessee Student Assistance Awards
The Tennessee Student Assistance Awards are free grants, for financially needy students, who reside in Tennessee, and are enrolled in college at least, part-time. These college scholarships can be used at a public, or private Tennessee college or university. Tennessee college students need to complete their FAFSA application by March 1, to ensure they will receive scholarship funding for college. Tennessee Hope Scholarship
The Tennessee Hope Scholarship is one of the numerous scholarships funded by the Tennessee State Lottery system, to help students achieve their dream of a college degree, regardless of their ability to pay for the full costs of college, tuition, books and fees. Tennessee college students seeking these scholarships need to have, a 3.0 GPA, and ACT score of 21, or a SAT score of 980. These scholarships require a completed FAFSA, as well as an additional Hope Scholarship application. Scholarship grants range from $2,000 to $4,000 per year.
Ned McWherter Scholars Program
The Ned McWherter Scholars Program awards scholarships to Tennessee students that show academic excellence with, a 3.5 GPA, and a 29 ACT score or 1280 SAT score. These scholarships are highly competitive, but lucrative at $6,000 per year. The McWherter scholarships are renewable for three years, provided a student maintains a GPA of 3.2.
